Well its that time of year again, going back to school and having to up my game in order to start conditioning my lambs for county. This will be my 3rd year showing and hopefully I can show one of my own lambs that was breed here on my farm! This is so exciting I will have to really work hard because he was born later than the usual lambs but I plan on really pushing. This summer was so hot that I slacked off in my garden I was still able to produce over 125 pounds of vegetables and put in the freezer to use over the winter. But I didn't do many onions or potatoes and so we are already out. Next year I will know I need more 😊. My neighbor planted some beautiful pumpkins and I was jealous because none of mine survived I wonder what his secret is. This summer I was gifted a blind bull calf and then Lola my cow had her first baby and he was also a bull calf. Then I wanted a dairy cow and 2 weeks after she came she also had a baby can you guess what it was? Ugh another bull calf so now I have 3 bull calves. What will I do with 3 bull calves? For now I have nursed the blind calf back to health he can now see and is constantly chasing the feed bucket when it comes out. Lola's son is always trying to sneak a slurp of Nessie the dairy cow's milk. Its funny to watch how he puts his head thru the gate and just latches to her and she has no idea its him so far he is our biggest calf😅. Things are moving along nicely I have learned how to drench my sheep and alpacas on my own. I am also learning to weigh the feed and make sure they are getting the atiquate amount. I have a new puppy her name is Tamara she is learning om how to help Bella keep our farm safe. She is a good girl and is going to be awesome just like her momma but then again Titan is teaching her some bad manners like playing with the sheep by chasing them. But she is a pup and will soon be scolded by her momma to learn what her roll is on our farm. 6th grade has started with a bang and I am so excited to see my friends in school. I can't wait for things to start rolling, like jackpots and clinics. Bye for now and I hope you enjoyed having a sneak peak of my summer more to follow.....
